This year, March went out like a Lion. (sort of) – We had cold nights and some snowy days, but the temperatures were all over the map!

Sunday, March 27th, 2022 – A very cold walk near beach 6 with cold north winds. It is hard to see when the winds are this strong.
Monday, March 28th, 2022 – Another very cold day due to intense north winds. These egresses from the beach act like wind tunnels. Parts of the path are drifted with snow, and the center is scoured down to the frozen ground by intense winds. You need goggles on a day like today because there is blowing sand mixed in with the snow,.
Tuesday, March 26th, 2022 – Far more pleasant on Tuesday. This picture was taken west of Beach six at 57th street. The bay is frozen as far as you can see after a few cold nights.

Wednesday, March 30th, 2022 – The beach was covered by just a dusting of fresh snow. The winds were calm today and much more pleasant for walking.

Thursday, March 31st, 2022 – Looking east along the beach on my way to 18th street.
Friday, April 1st, 2022 – A dusting of overnight snow. You can still see the ice berms offshore.
Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 – My Mom’s a good sport. She walks down the beach with me most weekends. Taken at Beach one with Collingwood and the Blue Mountains in the background.
