June started with heavy waves and high water, but by the end of the week it was beginning to feel like summer.

Tuesday June 05, 2018 – when the winds are strong and steady from the northwest the water level gets higher. This picture was taken west of beach one. A picnic table and volleyball posts near the water were under the waves today.
Tuesday June 05, 2018 – Looking toward Blue Mountain and Collingwood. This could be a fall day. I had the beach to myself.
Thursday, June 7, 2018 – Looking northwest towards the Blue Mountains on a “blustery day”.
Thursday, June 7, 2018 – looking east toward Beach One with high water once again. The amount of beach exposed is low.
Thursday, June 07, 2018 – It’s great to see ducks all over the beach this time of year. I see these two almost every day.
Thursday, June 07, 2018 – I’m thrilled to see path improvements at 13th street. The town made a major improvement with gravel that is dense enough to bike on. Right on!
Friday June 08, 2018 – Mom and I walked down the beach on Friday. Another spectacular day. Watching the ducks swimming offshore (where we usually see them)
Friday June 08, 2018 – This time of year the beach is regularly groomed which is awesome!
Friday June 08, 2018 – Beach one is looking busier. I try and buy things from businesses along beach one whenever I can. It’s frustrating however that you cannot count on them being open. Call me crazy, but I think a nice restaurant at Beach One would do well year around. I wish regional politicians would re-think their hardline stance and allow commercial tenants to occupy beach one on reasonable terms. Significant capital improvements are required, and there is obviously seasonal nature of the trade on the beach. Just my opinion.
Saturday, June 9th, 2018 – This chunk of wood has been offshore for a week. Happened to see two birds perched on it today as I walked by.
