It’s hard to complain about the weather this year. Warm days and cool nights.

We’ve had two months of awesome weather. We get continual warnings however about air quality due to fires burning to the west. The highlight of the week was my older son passing the bar and starting his legal career in Toronto.

I’m grateful to Weather Underground, and particularly the operators of the weather station at Beach Area 4 – IWASAGA6. I get my weather data from this location whenever data is available. The reason for the question marks above for August 7th is that Weather Underground reported a low temperature of -40.0C. I’m pretty sure this is incorrect – I would have noticed!

Sunday, August 1st, 2021 – Hard to believe that this is the weekend! A few clouds and Beach one is deserted. This picture taken looking east across what was formerly Beach Drive when water levels were lower.
Monday, August 2nd, 2021 – Sunshine matters! A much more crowded Beach One on a sunny Monday over the lunch hour.
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 – I missed my daily beach walk to help my son move into his new digs at Harbour Plaza in Toronto. The view from his balcony below. (overlooking the Gardiner and Scotiabank Arena)
Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 – Walking down the Beach Two boardwalk over the lunch hour.
Thursday, August 5th, 2021 – This is the way to see the beach! Some people visit the beach by water. A boat ride on a straight line from Parry Sound to Wasaga Beach is 92km. I shudder to think about the cost of fuel 🙂
Friday, August 6th, 2021 – Today was awesome. Exactly what the beach should look like on a Friday in the summer.
Saturday, August 7th, 2021 – The water is slowly receding. Last year, this part of the beach was impassible without getting your feet wet. This picture taken from east of 18th street looking west.
