As any Gordon Lightfoot<\/a> fan knows, November is when the the skies over the great lakes turn gloomy.\u00a0 We had two sunny days this week – overall a great week for enjoying the beach.<\/p>\n

Sunday, November 12th – an overcast day looking east toward Beach one.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Monday, November 13th, 2017 – the high waves the other day have left beach drive all covered with mud. Waves were washing across the street. Quite a mess to clean up.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Monday, November 13th, 2017 – Taken from the boardwalk looking across the bay towards Collingwood and Blue Mountain. The picnic table no longer froze\u00a0into the ground.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 – someone else walking out on the beach today. Funny, but this has become a rarity after a packed beach in the summer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Wednesday, November 15th – sand drifting across the boardwalk near beach one.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Friday, November 17th, 2017 – today was spectacular – You could almost mistake today for a summer day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Friday, November 17th, 2017 – There is a physics lesson lurking here – the bay is glass calm except for waves that suddenly appear 100 yards from shore.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Friday, November 17th, 2017 – the town of Wasaga Beach cleaning up the mess on Beach Drive from last week’s storms<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Friday, November 17th, 2017 – I picked up lots of nasty broken glass today and carried it off the beach. This makes me angry. Young\u00a0kids\u00a0frequent the beach in the spring and broken glass can turn a wonderful weekend for someone’s child into a tragedy. I like to think this is accidental rather than\u00a0deliberate.\u00a0Saw a\u00a0severely damaged crayfish\/minnow\u00a0trap above. Who knows where this came from.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
