The beach officially re-opened effective June 11th, but we didn’t see a lot of visitors – perhaps because there was still confusion apart whether businesses and public washrooms would be open.<\/p>\n

Thursday, June 11th, 2020 – This picture shows how devastating the high waters are.\u00a0 Normally the street lights are along a sidewalk, and the beach starts to the left of the sign. From the sign there should be ~60 feet to the water. This year the roadway is intentionally buried under two feet of sand and a retaining wall was constructed to protect the structures along beach one.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
