It’s hard to beat the weather this summer at Wasaga Beach. July and August have been spectacular. We finally got a break from the heat with overnight temperatures dipping down below 10C (~50F) this week.<\/p>\n

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s hard to get reliable weather data without paying for it (this blog has no revenue sources to be clear). I appreciate the people that operate a private weather station near Beach Area 4 and share results via Weather Underground. Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 – Last summer, the location where this picture was taken was all roadway. It became impossible to protect the road from high water, so the Town wisely let the beach reclaim the road (not cheap) and created barriers to protect the buildings along beach one. This shows the extent of the damage from high water across the great lakes. Water levels remain at record highs. The fences you see in the distance are to control “density” along the most popular part of the beach. (I’m not buying this to be honest but happy to be educated as to why this makes sense)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
