The week kicked off with sand sculptors down at Beach One, followed by the “Not so Pro” beach Volleyball tournament the weekend of July 12th. The Volleyball tournament attracted 100 teams and 750 players. Thursday, July 10th, 2025 – The entrance to Beach Area 5 from Linda Lane. This time of year, I find myself regularly giving directions to people driving up and down Shore Lane who can’t find the entrance to the Beach Area 5 parking area.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Friday, July 11th, 2025 – Construction efforts down at the main beach are accelerating. The roadway is now closed to both pedestrian and automobile traffic. Part of the redevelopment plan calls for elevation Beach Drive so that it is less susceptible to the flooding that happened a few years ago when the Great Lakes were near record high water levels.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
