I mentioned in my previous post that November can be gloomy.

We all have seasonally affected disorder (SAD) I’m afraid. Getting out and walking down the beach every day definitely helps.

The early part of the week was cold with strong north winds. I was dressed for January, and was amazed that people were out on the water in the pictures below. My hands started to freeze in just the time it took to take these pictures!

Sunday, November 19th, 2017 – This picture tells the story of November 19th. Nasty!
Sunday, November 19th, 2017 – Imagine my surprise seeing people out on the water parasailing.
Sunday, November 19th, 2017 – This is the walkway near 13th street that gets one off the beach to walk along Shore Lane. Decided to walk down the streets on the way back.
Sunday, November 19th, 2017 – The streets look pretty rough too – Blowing snow off the water. Too warm for the snow to accumulate.
Monday, November 20th, 2017 – Blowing snow overnight partially covered the boardwalk – threatening skies to the east make for a cool picture taken mid-day.
Monday, November 20th, 2017 – Entering the beach at 18th street. A lonely looking post used in the summer for Volleyball.
Tuesday, November 21st, 2017 -Today was almost pleasant! The sky was trying to be blue and reasonably warm.

November 22nd is my birthday. Also the day JFK was killed. He was killed in ’63 and I was born in ’65. I think November 22nd was kind of the 9/11 of the sixties so not the greatest birthday to have growing up. I took a different route on my birthday to find some fresh material.  My usual parking lot at Dunkerron and 18th street was being plowed and I didn’t want to get in their way so I parked at the municipal lot at beach two.

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 – A lonely pay phone. Snapped this on a rarely used trail heading back to the parking lot at beach two. It occurs to me that my 22 year old and 16 year old have never used one of these!
Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 – Cutting across the parking lot south of beach one on a cold day. I confess – I may have gone to the LCBO while I was there 🙂
Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017 – Walking down a trail just south of the washroom at the east end of the western boardwalk.
Friday, November 24th, 2017 – Bungalows on the Beach at 18th street looking a little lonely. A booming property in the summer. This is where I usually start my daily walk.
Friday, November 24th, 2017 – I find this fascinating – check out the amount of erosion – hard to estimate but I think the grass extended ~ 10 feet closer to the water a mere month ago.
Friday, November 24th, 2017 – I’m thinking a traffic cone must have washed up on the beach. Someone hung it on a post that has life-saving equipment in the summer. The next day it was gone, blown off the post.
Saturday, November 25th, 2017 – Mom joined me walking down the beach today. Windy with occasional rain. Waves were high but not so high you couldn’t walk down the shore.
Saturday, November 25th, 2017 -Not exactly beach weather today!
Saturday, November 25th, 2017 – Entering the western boardwalk looking west from the main beach

Another awesome week!
