The beach is showing signs of life the last week of April.  Mom and Dad are back from Florida, so I’m grateful that my Mom is interesting in joining me most days for my walk.  I’ll lose her when she heads off to Manitoulin later in May.

Things are getting busier with my work, but I’m able to manage my schedule and carve out 90 minutes every day for my beach walk still.

April 24th – Quiet on Beach One but more cars are driving by for a look at Georgian Bay.

On April 27th, the weather was incredibly warm.  The picture below is my mom with my nephew Darby Sissons.  The reason for the coat was not to stay warm but rather to keep from getting sunburned on the back of his neck. Definitely a great day.

I’ve been noticing daily that heavy equipment is out in full force picking up debris and raking the beach.  The picture below taken at the heart of beach one looking west.  The day before this section of the beach was full of debris.

Beach one is groomed and ready for tourists!
April 27th was unseasonably warm. I hung back and took this picture of Mom and Darby. The reason for Darby’s jacket was to avoid a sunburn.
April 27th – a tractor hard at work near the boardwalk cleaning up the mess from the winter.
April 27th – took this picture walking around our neighborhood – Wasaga Sands. Colors are amazing before sunset.

On a personal note, this week I installed these cool LED lights from WayFair.COM on our fence at home.  Manufacturer is “Classy Caps”. I’m going to wait a year before writing the product review to see if they till light up. 🙂

We need to scrape and paint our fence this year. A job I’m not looking forward to.

We installed post lights at our home on April 28th
April 29th – Not sure what to call these guys, but they sail buggies up and down the beach when it is too cold to get into the water.
