We had some nice days this week with Wednesday getting all the way up to 27 degrees. The highlight of the week was watching a talented wind surfer on Thursday evening (May 10th). I subsequently met he and his girlfriend when he came into to shore and shared several of the pictures I took (most not posted)<\/p>\n

Sunday, May 6th, 2018 – This is the first kayak I’ve seen all year. He paddled the whole length of the beach as I was walking from beach three to beach one. He was moving too fast for me to keep up walking. You wouldn’t want to tip this time of year. You can feel the cold coming off the water.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Monday, May 7th, 2018 – An evening walk down the beach with the sun near the horizon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 – it warmed up on Tuesday reaching 20 degrees in the afternoon. A very pleasant day for a walk. There was not a lot of wind, and for the first day it was almost too warm.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thursday, May 10th, 2018 – After returning from Markham where I was working for the day, I took an evening walk. A cold front was coming in and the wind and waves were picking up considerable.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thursday, May 10th, 2018 – I caught this picture of a parasailer jumping a wave. It’s hard to estimate at a difference but I think he was almost 20 feet up in the air. I saw him do this several times to only managed to catch the picture once with my phone. I wish I’d had my better camera. I met him afterwards and sent him some of the pictures I’d taken by e-mail.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thursday, May 10th, 2018 – More driftwood on the beach brought in by the windstorm and waves over the past week.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Friday, May 11th, 2018 – Despite the attempts to clean up around beach one, it’s looking a little rough after the recent storm. The sand drifted across the boardwalk after earlier efforts to clean things up.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Saturday, May 12th, 2018 – The tractor operator on his lunch break when I took this picture. The tractors are going up and down the beach collecting all the wood and debris that has come on shore.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
