As I write this today (on February 15) the low temperature was -6 C. \u00a0On average for this date it is -11 C. The record low was -30 C. \u00a0This is anecdotal, but almost every day so far in 2017\u00a0the temperatures has been\u00a0several degrees warmer than historical averages. \u00a0You&#8217;ll have a hard time convincing me that climate change is not real. \u00a0Georgian Bay hasn&#8217;t frozen this year other than sometimes in the morning when there is a thin sheet of ice across the bay if the\u00a0wind is calm overnight.<\/p>\n<p>On February 12th I walked the whole length of the beach pretty much through a blizzard. \u00a0I&#8217;m definitely getting my exercise on the snowy days because even when I try and walk on the snowmobile\u00a0trails, the snow is often pretty deep.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_284\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-284\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-284\" src=\"http:\/\/wasaga365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC00622-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wasaga365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC00622-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wasaga365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC00622-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wasaga365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC00622-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wasaga365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC00622.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-284\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Looking towards beach one on February 12th 2017. You can see the pattern below where waves crash against the shore and freezes into a berm of ice, the water calms and freezes over night, and the next day a new frozen berm starts 20-30 feet out as the waves pick up again.
