The problem with relying on open source weather data is that occasionally stations are down. Rather than make up the temperatures, I’ve decided to acknowledge the gaps. I’m grateful to the volunteer operators of IWASAGA6<\/a> at Beach 4, part of the Weather Underground. I’ve been relying on them regularly for weather data close to the beach.<\/p>\n

The cover photo for this week is a keeper taken near beach one. Kite sailors are frequently airborne as they skim the surface of the waves. In this picture taken near beach one, the board floats well above the surface of the water. Saturday May 8th was a perfect day for kite sailing with strong north winds.<\/p>\n
