The cover picture for this week is the sand dunes formed after clearing Beach drive. The town erected fencing this week and left the sand piles in place rather than bringing them to the water’s edge, where the waves would take the sand away. I assume this was done to protect the store fronts along Beach drive from Fall and Winter storms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 – The town has erected snow fences to protect beach one. I’m not entirely sure why since there are still piles of sand that resulted from clearing the sand off the road. The town intentionally left Beach Drive covered with sand for the past two years due to the high water on the great lakes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
