Nice warm weather this week made it easy to walk down the beach. By the family day weekend, we finally got some fresh show to make it look a bit more like winter. The cover photo is an outdoor fireplace setup near the skating rink at the Recplex for the Family day weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday, February 12, 2023 – I walked most of the distance out on the ice between two sets of ice berms. There is a lot less shore ice than in years past.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Monday, February 13th, 2023 – The sun warms up the sand pretty quickly and we are free of snow again around the boardwalk.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 – The ice will be especially dangerous this year given the warm weather. Usually I venture out closer to the water’s edge but definitely not this year!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 – A gorgeous day in our south facing sunroom. Nice to see grass in February!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Thurday, February 16th, 2023 – If the beach looks like it is covered with glare ice, that’s because it is! Absolutely treachorous conditions. I ended up walking down Shore Lane instead where the road was clear of ice.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
