Lots of work going on this week to keep the beach in shape for summer guests. When the beach is graded it’s a tougher walk.<\/p>\n

July 16th – a foreboding sky. I just managed to avoid getting soaked. The rain started as soon as I got back to the truck.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

July 18th – Great to see that the town is straightening the poles for the volleyball nets – they got more than a little crooked over the winter.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

July 18th – you can see how much rainfall there’s been. The runoff near 16th street has literally bisected the beach at the outflow of the storm drain.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

July 18th – a second walk in the evening – watching the sunset looking toward Collingwood and Thornbury<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

July 19th – Some seagulls getting out of my way<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

July 20th – with the water levels so high, they’re going to lots of effort to grade the beach and get rid of the vegetation. Makes it a hard walk because you sink into the freshly graded sand.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
