This year, March went out like a lamb, with nice weather and no new snowstorms. April is a month of transition with ice leaving Georgian Bay and the snow melting rapidly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The featured picture for this post was taken at the far west end of Beach Area 5. There was so much water that cutting through the trees was the only way to leave the park without getting your feet wet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Sunday, March 29th, 2026 – Looking towards Beach Area 3 from a snow-covered field just west of 13th street. The snow is melting quickly, leaving a mix of snow and sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday, March 30th, 2026 – The beach was perfect for walking with flat, dry sand. There is a lot less debris on the beach than in prior years. There is still lots of ice along the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 – Entrances to the beach from Shore Lane are still mostly snow-covered. This picture was taken just west of Beach Area 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 – The Sandpiper cottages near 13th Street at Beach Area 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
