Despite pictures showing sunny skies this week, we actually had quite a bit of rain. A highlight of the week was a Children’s petting zoo behind the Recplex for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Sunday, October 6th, 2024 – Looking east towards beach one across the boardwalk at beach area 2.Monday, October 7th, 2024 – The culvert draining water from storm sewers at 57th street. We had 40 km/h gusts from the NNW today.Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 – A peacful walk through beach area 5 provincial parkFriday, October 11th, 2024 – A donkey getting ready for the petting zoo behind the recplex for Thanksgiving.Friday, October 11th, 2024 – I finally got up to see the fabulous new Wasaga Beach arena near Themepark road at the east end of the beach. There are two ice surfaces making this a major destination for hockey and competitive figure skating in Simcoe County. The walking tracks are well used by seniors in near by retirement communities.Saturday, October 12th, 2024 – Despite being saturated with water after rain and waves, the beach is hard packed and easy to walk on. It never turns to mud.
