We’re enjoying a traditional Canadian winter this year. Walking down snowmobile trails along the beach is hard, so I’ve mostly been walking down Shore Lane, where the streets are plowed parallel to the beach.
Sunday, January 26, 2025 – This picture was taken from our south-facing 3-season room during a snow squall.Sunday, January 26th, 2025 – Looking north from the west end of Beach area 5 near Shore Lane. Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 – When the sun is out, our 3-season room is a “tropical oasis” no matter how cold it is outside. Maize is soaking up some rare vitamin D. (most spoiled dog ever – LOL)Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 – I know it’s strange to enjoy weather like this, but I was bundled up and comfortable. The north winds were fierce walking along Shore Lane. The street was freshly plowed but was still hard to walk down. Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 – Looking east along Beach Drive. You can see a snowplow coming towards me.Thursday, January 30th, 2025 – Looking west along Shore Lane – freshly plowed and the winds have dropped.Friday, January 31st, 2025 – We briefly got above freezing on Friday. The snow disappeared quickly around beach 5. Saturday, February 1st, 2025 – For a chance of pace, I walked west from 18th street instead of east. This picture taken near 20th street looking west.
