In late April we transition to warmer weather.  Progress is slow but sure!

Note the buds on the trees first week of May.

May 1st – Signs of Life! – Taken by the boardwalk on Beach one.

We had a pretty serious rain storm in the early part of May.  Floods in the news in Quebec.  We had rain every day, but no flooding.  Something to be said for living on sand!

High winds on May 2nd and I was afraid of damaging my umbrella so walking inland instead.

May 2nd – Heavy rain today – took a different route. Play structure at Beach 4.

May 3rd was clear. The beach is a total mess after the winter. Cool to see the town hard at work cleaning things up and removing debris.

May 3rd – great to see the town of Wasaga Beach hard at work. The beach is a mess!
A truckload full of driftwood being hauled away. Apparently a pristine beach takes some effort

I feel offended.  18th street is my private lot. I was the only person there all winter and often traversed serious snowbanks to park there. Apparently we need to pay now or risk a ticket.

Anyway – I lined up at the town center and purchased my residents parking pass. I’m legal now!

Another sign that summer is near. I need to pay for parking.

Later in May we had even more serious rain. I kept my promise to walk down the beach, but things were nasty. High winds from the north east. I spent the whole 5k walk protected by the umbrella.

May 11th – Heavy rain for days in early May.
