There is just a tonne going on at Wasaga Beach in August. This Sunday, Wasaga was home to the following events:

  • Flipjack fundraiser
  • Blu Wave Palle 4 the Cure
  • Church in the Pines
  • Summer Sundays at Simcoe County Museum

You can get a sense of events at this excellent Simcoe County Website.  https://www.simcoe.com/simcoecounty-events/date/27-08-2017/

Despite all this cool stuff happening, Jamie and I decided to travel up to Manitoulin Island on a Friday to see my folks.

We returned home Sunday evening, so from Sunday evening on, this week’ posts are about Wasaga Beach.

Sunday, August 27th, Mom snapped this picture during an early morning walk down the road at Frank’s Road near the bottom of the big hill. A second younger deer just visible in the background.
Wednesday, August 30th – Cuddy Cabin Cruiser anchored near the beach with people swimming off the back.
Wednesday, August 30th – I frequently take pictures of this part of the walk. The trail between 13th street north and Shore Lane.
Thursday, August 31st, 2017 – A cool, moonlit night. Picture from our back deck.
Thursday, August 31st, Super clear day. Took this picture with the Telephoto lens toward Midland. Most days I don’t see the far shore.
Friday, September 1st, 2017 – Flying up and down the beach Friday morning. Not sure what they were looking for.
Friday, Sept 1st, 2017 – Was expecting big crowds for the long weekend the nothing yet early Friday. It’s pretty cool. That may be the explanation.
