We continued to enjoy above average temperatures mid October. I suspect we’re on a trajectory to have record temperatures. All to say, every day I walked down the beach this week I saw something worth watching. Enjoy the pictures below.

If you are a passionate, year-round beach walker we’re very interested in hearing from you.

We have high standards (LOL), but our friends, the Dubois family pass with flying colors. They are across from Linda Lane at Beach 5. Obviously better photographers than me.

I’m hoping we can rope Terry and Kris given their obvious talents as regular contributors to this site.

Sunday, October 15, 2017 – We don’t see this every day. Matching tents. I took this early morning on a Sunday. I suspect some enterprising folks decided to party on the beach Saturday night – Pretty sure this is not allowed but looks like fun. I won’t tell!
Monday, October 16, 2017 – today was one of those days. I took three dozen pictures and hard to decide what was coolest – I recall my friends in the para-sailing beach buggy from last year – he waved so I think he remembers me also. I see serious, seasonal parasailers year around.
Monday, October 16th, 2017 – the beach buggy up close. Hard to get a good picture. He was moving faster than I could run.
Monday, October 16, 2017 – hard to capture the whole experience in a picture – the beach buggy ~ 200 feet from the sail – I got a decent picture of the sail at least.
Monday, October 16, 2017 – Never mind the beach buggy – An apple tree adjacent to the boardwalk has ripe apples. I recall the same wild apple trees on Manitoulin near Franks Road, RR Mindemoya. I took a bite and I’m still alive – all good!
October 16, 2017 – A late addition and beautiful picture from beach five taken by Terry and Kris Dubois, friends near Linda Lane at Beach 5.

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 – today was super windy. I needed ski goggles to see but didn’t have them. You’re looking at sand blowing across the beach. I could taste the sand. Not a good thing.
Wednesday, October 18th – around noon, looking west from the boardwalk
Wednesday, October 18th – My son Jamie – enjoying the awesome weather chasing our dog Stella around our backyard.
Friday, October 20th, 2017 – all boarded up for the season but this is where we rent paddleboards in the summer.
