August is the best month to enjoy the beach. The days are getting shorter, but the water is warm and there is something magical about the quality of the sunsets.

Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Beach one in the evening. It’s like the damage from high water never happened!
Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Mural at the west end of South Beach.
Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Looking east from the far end of Wasaga Beach. The far east-end of the beach peninsula is off limits. I’ve kayaked around the peninsula several times between the Nottawasaga river and Georgian Bay. I only venture out when the weather is good. This is off limits for swimmers because the mouth of the river is dangerous. The recent  drownings I’m aware of have all occurred here.

Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Taken from the east end of Wasaga Beach – East of this spot, things are dangerous and appropriately marked. Depending on the time of year, the current from the Nottawasaga river is strong and can be fatal for even the strongest swimmers.
Monday, August 19th, 2019 – Wasaga Beach looking northwest.
Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 – Cool to see so many people on a weekday.
Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 – heading back to beach one along the boardwalk
Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 – the east-end boardwalk.
Friday, August 23rd, 2019 – My son Ben heading back to law school – His kick-ass rental dwarfs Michelle to the right.
Friday, August 23rd, 2019 – Taken from the border of beach 1/beach2 – Blue Mountains in the distance across the bay.
