This is supposed to be the coldest time of the year, but it is not that bad. It was easy to get out every day enjoy a walk.

On my way east from near 57th street west of Beach area 6.Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 – It’s getting easier to walk this section of the beach with the tractor treads and exposed sand close to the shore.Thursday, February 1st, 2024 – The boardwalk near Beach one is clear of snow.Friday, February 2nd, 2024 – Today looked an awful lot like Wednesday!Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 – You could tell early in the morning that today was going to be an awesome day! Our south facing sun room was -8C when this picture was taken around 7:30AM and the temperature rose to over 30C by noon.Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 – People out on the ice near Beach 6 enjoying a beautiful day. As long as you stay inside the berms, the ice is pretty safe. The water here is very shallow.
