Georgian Bay is almost fully frozen now. It’s hard to walk along the beach as the temperature warms up. The featured picture shows that Nottawasaga Bay is frozen with ice as far as the eye can see.
Sunday, February 15th, 2026 – I walked across the snowmobiles at Beach Area 5 today and snapped this picture looking north towards the water.
Monday, February 16th, 2026 – Family day – Some days I walk out on the ice, but I skipped it today. The ice is safe, getting out to the ice is a chore with drifting snow.
Wedneday, February 18th, 2026 – Walking down Shore Lane near Beach area 6 with falling snow.
Friday, February 20th, 2026 – We had warm temperatures today, and melting snow and ice is a hazard along Shore Lane.
Saturday, February 21st, 2026 – Looking west along Shore Lane just west of 13th Street. The street was reduced to a single lane, and walking was treacherous.
