This week started warm, but a winter forecast is definitely upon us for the next few weeks. You can see the progression in the pictures as the temperatures drop below. Judging by the forecast, I think we’re almost guaranteed a white Christmas.

Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 – Bungalows on the Beach – the sun was trying to peak through and it was pleasant with weak winds.
Monday, December 4th, 2017 – You can see how calm the water was today. I kind of marvel that these birds are still around. I’m not sure what their plan is to get out of Dodge as the weather gets nasty.
Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 – Today was amazing. You could almost think it was a cool summer day if you stayed out of the wind. Taken near 13th street on the trails from Georgian Cottages down to the beach.

Thursday, December 7th, 2017 – I find this interesting. The shore is starting to look jagged as saturated sand freezes and gets eroded by the waves. Where the water is moving it can’t freeze, but the shoreline is all shards of ice.
Thursday, December 7th, 2017 – the winds have drifted sand up against and even over the boardwalk.
Thursday, December 7th, 2017 – Looking towards Collingwood. Blue Mountains have snow and you can see a band of snow on the west side of the bay.
Friday, December 8th, 2017 – the public washrooms on the western boardwalk.
Saturday, December 9th, 2017 – A frozen ridge down the beach marking the high point of the wave action.
