This week we had an all-day rain event Sunday that is keeping the neighborhood grass nice and green (and the weeds growing).

Despite the rain I decided to walk down the beach anyway.

Sunday, August 16, 2020 – Looking west along Wasaga Beach from under my umbrella. Too much overcast to see the Blue Mountains.
Sunday, August 16, 2020 – A rare rainy day during the summer of 2020 – Looking east from near 13th street at Wasaga Beach
Monday, August 17, 2020 – A pleasant Monday with a cool breeze. I’m taking too many pictures from the park on 13th street (mid-point on my daily hike to beach one). Unfortunately, with the water still at record highs, it’s hard to walk directly on the beach this year without disturbing people. In places you need to wade into the water to get past collapsed retaining walls.
Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 – Taken from down on the beach west of 13th street. The Blue Mountains are in the distance across the Nottawasaga Bay.
Thursday August 20th, 2020 – Looking along the beach two boardwalk on an overcast day.
Friday, August 21st, 2020 – An awesome red ’67 Chevelle parked along a home on Shore Lane. I hope the owners don’t mind me posting this picture.
Friday, August 21st, 2020 – Approaching the beach entrance at the park at 13th street from the west.
Friday, August 21st, 2020 – Looking west across the beach from near 13th street. Last year where I’m standing was a grass covered dune. High water and waves in the Fall caused enough erosion that there is a beach once more (albeit small compared to previous years)
Friday, August 21st, 2020 – Looking east from near 13th street to the crowded parts of the beach at beach areas 1 and 2.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 – A tree covered part of Shore Lane – walk west on the way to 20th street and the beach 3 entrance.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 – There is no beach anymore in places along beach 4 because of the high water. Still a great place to swim though.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 – Volleyball teams up from the city hanging out at the Provincial Park at Beach 4
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 – A boat anchored off shore at Beach 4 on a perfect Saturday morning.
