We finally had some above-seasonal days this week, leading to a rapid melt and flooding. The featured picture for this post shows Shore Lane looking west from the trail heading to the Recplex. The street was impassible on foot with puddles several inches deep that extended for two blocks.

Monday, March 2nd, 2026 – Exiting the trail at Shore Lane on my way from the Recplex during an afternoon walk.

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 – Walking west from just west of Beach Area 4 along snowmobile trails.

Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 – The road is finally clear of snow on Shore Lane.

Friday, March 6th, 2026 – the stream at 57th street is making its way to the water. Georgian Bay is still frozen in the distance.

Saturday, March 7th, 2026 – The melting snow blocked several streets. This picture was taken looking east from 33rd street.
