The featured picture for this week was taken looking east from just west of Beach Area 6. This section of the beach is easy to recognize because it is the only part of the beach with rocks offshore.

Monday, August 31, 2026 – Looking west across the Bay towards Collingwood and the Blue Mountains on a wet Monday morning.

Monday, August 31, 2026 – A squirrel perched on the “no exit” sign at 30th Street, just east of Beach Area 5.

Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – I snapped this picture of people enjoying the beach, walking east from Beach Area 3 to Beach Area 1.

Wednesday, September 2, 2026 – This ferris wheel being set up in Beach Area 2 looked a little scary before all the pieces were in place!

Friday, September 4, 2026 – I came across this interesting maze in the sand at the west end of Beach Area 4. It lasted several days, and I saw several people enjoying it. Someone put a lot of effort into it.

Friday, September 4, 2026 – The ferris wheel was fully assembled at Beach Area 2. Just in time for Labour Day.

Saturday, September 5, 2026 – This picture was taken at one of my favorite parts of the beach – the easternmost point before entering protected areas, where the Nottawasaga River meets Georgian Bay. Usually, nobody is here, and there are lots of private spots under the trees.
