This time of year, it seems I’m always in a battle to get the leaves picked up before the first snowfall. We routinely rake and bag ~130 bags, and this year we were right down to the wire. The snow arrived and stayed right at the end of November. The featured picture for this post was taken while walking through the trail between the Recplex and Shore Lane after the first snowfall.

The storm sewers discharge into Georgian Bay, and when it rains, the water cuts a channel across the beach.Thursday, November 27th, 2025 – Once glance at the clouds and you can see that snow is in the air.Friday, November 28th, 2025 – This year, Environment Canada moved to a new color-coded system for snow squall warnings.Friday, November 28th, 2025 – Waiting for the snow to arrive.Saturday, November 29th, 2025 – Saturday was the first day of the multi-day snowfall. Despite what the calendar says, Winter has officially arrived.
