I think we may be among the few beneficiaries of climate change here on South Georgian Bay (this year at least).  We need some warmer weather!

We had a very slow spring. As of late June, the waters of Georgian Bay were 3-5 degrees below normal. Even on a warm day, walking down the beach feels like there is a freezer door wide open to the north. The cold air off the lake is awesome on hot days but not great for swimming.

Sunday, July 7th, 2019 – We spent the morning installing our new #bestop softcover on Michelle’s jeep. We’re now officially ready for summer! Hardcover is stored for the season. (https://www.bestop.com/)
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 – Looking west on beach drive. Even on a Tuesday the main beach is packed in July.
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 – The fair is in town – view from the south of beach one waterfront looking north.
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 – I’ve shifted my daily walks further east because a lot of beach 3 and 4 are underwater – Nottawasaga River to the right as I walk down the beach east of the main beach pavilion.
Saturday, July 13th, 2019 – Stand-up Paddleboard Competition (SUP) at Beach One.
Saturday, July 13th, 2019 – Looking east down beach one – rain clearly on the way
Saturday, July 13th, 2019 – Despite the coming thunderstorms people still on the main beach
