Exciting week at our place. We started construction on a sunroom addition to our home. Despite this, I managed to get down the beach every day. We’re certainly experiencing a cold winter this year.

Sunday, January 16, 2022 – I like this time of year because it is finally OK to walk out on the ice. Taken offshore looking south towards the beach two boardwalk
Monday, January 17th, 2022 – Monday is garbage day along Shore Lane. Walking back from beach one towards 18th street.
Tuesday, January 18th – An early evening walk from the Recplex down to 57th street and back. This picture taken at 57th street looking west across the bay.
Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 – Taken from Shore Lane looking south at a closed entrance to the provincial parking lot at Beach 6 just east of 50th street.
Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 – A warmer day with high winds – suddenly the water is open again. This picture shows why it is insane to venture out on the ice on Georgian Bay.
Thursday, January 20th, 2022 – It was -18C so I ventured out partway on the ice – looking northwest towards Collingwood. The large ice chunks are the product of wave action when there are northwest winds.
Thursday, January 20th, 2022 – Standing out on the first berm offshore looking back towards the beach from just west of 13st street. The conditions are ideal this year for walking along the ice.
Friday, January 21st, 2022 – A cold morning walk down to beach one along the snowmobile trails. This picture was taken east of 13th street on my way to the beach two boardwalk.
Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 – On my way to beach one on Saturday morning.
