The week kicked off with sand sculptors down at Beach One, followed by the “Not so Pro” beach Volleyball tournament the weekend of July 12th. July 6th, 2025 – An awesome sand sculpture of a shark and dolphins at Beach Area One.
Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 – Holiday season is in full swing, and Beach area 5 is crowded even on a Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 – Lookng towards the waterfront walking through the shaded trails at Beach area 5.
Thursday, July 10th, 2025 – The entrance to Beach Area 5 from Linda Lane. This time of year, I find myself regularly giving directions to people driving up and down Shore Lane who can’t find the entrance to the Beach Area 5 parking area.
Friday, July 11th, 2025 – Construction efforts down at the main beach are accelerating. The roadway is now closed to both pedestrian and automobile traffic. Part of the redevelopment plan calls for elevation Beach Drive so that it is less susceptible to the flooding that happened a few years ago when the Great Lakes were near record high water levels.
Friday, July 11th, 2025 – Along with all the new development taking place at the main beach, Stonebridge is building a new development of town homes named after the Breakers Hotel in the same general area in the 1930s. Saturday, July 12th, 2025 – A peaceful Saturday morning near Beach area 5.
Saturday, July 12th, 2025 – By Saturday the volleyball tournament was in full swing.
