Construction along Beach One is well under way. I’m making an effort to walk down Beach One every week to capture the changes. It will be exciting to see what Beach Drive looks like in two years.
Sunday, July 20th, 2025 – Beach Drive is closed. Construction is not active on the weekend. A wall has been constructed the entire length of Beach One to make sure the beach is accessible while keeping people away from the construction area.Sunday, July 20, 2025 – The annual 5K Foam Fest took place on Saturday. Today, crews were taking the structures down until next year.Monday, July 21st, 2025 – I interrupted this raccoon foraging through a garbage bin near Shore Lane. It’s rare to see a raccoon so bold during daylight hours.Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 – A perfect day walking from 18th street down to the heart of Beach Area one.Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025 – Looking west along the trail the crossses the park at Beach Area 5.Thursday, July 24th – A perfect summer day at Beach Area 5.Thursday, July 24th, 2025 – Play structures at Beach Area 5.
