The good weather continued the week after Labour Day, and I managed to get down to the beach twice per day all week. Construction down at Beach One is in full swing as crews raise Beach Drive to protect it from future high-water events.
Monday, September 7th, 2025 – When I walk down the west end of the Beach towards Beaches 5 or 6, my walk usually starts by heading down this trail towards Shore Lane from the RecPlex parking lot.Tuesday, September 8th, 2025 – Waterfront condos at the western end of Beach Area 4.Wednesday, September 9th, 2025 – The elevation of this new fire hydrant shows how elevated Beach Drive will be once the construction is completed. There is already 18″ of new fill over the old roadway, and the hydrant is still a few feet above the surface.Thursday, September 10th, 2025 – Looking west from the western end of the Beach 2 boardwalk.Friday, September 11th, 2025 -A windsurfer left along the water near Beach area 6.
