Sometimes everything happens all at once, and this was one of those weeks. Our son Jamie and his new bride, Christina, were married in early June, and we were busy planning a May 16th engagement party at our home as well as their upcoming wedding at Walters Falls.

Unfortunately, right around this time, I developed a rather painful kidney stone, so I missed several days walking down the beach. Shortly after midnight on May 16th, the pain became bad enough that I asked my very understanding wife to take me to the Marine General Hospital in Collingwood.

The folks at the Marine General Hospital were wonderful. Thankfully, my pain receded, and we were able to return home to host the engagement party as planned despite having very little sleep. I purposely haven’t posted personal pictures of the engagement party because I’m careful not to post pictures of people without permission. We had a full house with ~35 people in attendance.
