The cover picture for this post was taken on Wednesday, July 22nd, a beautiful day with strong northwest winds. As if often the case, I had the beach almost entirely to myself. This week we made a family trip to Ottawa to attend a wedding, so I missed my Friday and Saturday walks.

Sunday, July 19th, 2026 – The rotary club of Wasaga Beach had a table setup at Beach 4 today. There is also a wonderful new flower garden in a canoe near the new pop-up store at the center of Beach Area 5.

Monday, July 20th, 2026 – People unpacking vehicles at the parking area at Beach Area 5 as they get ready for the day. The ski hills at the Blue Mountains are visible in the background.

Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 – This beach-goer came prepared with a shield and umbrellas to shelter themselves from a strong Northeast wind. (The wind direction shifted through the day on Tuesday)

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 – Large sections of the beach were empty on a windy Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2026 – You can see sections of the beach being graded. Looking west.

Friday, July 24th, 2026 – On Friday we travelled to Ottawa to attend a wedding. This picture was taken in Almonte in our friend’s beautiful backyard.

Saturday, July 25th, 2026 – While in Ottawa, we made a side trip to the Canadian Military Cemetery at Beechwood to pay our respects to my father-in-law. This is a wonderul spot that Canadian’s should be proud of. It is beautifully maintained.
