This week I think I took some very cool pictures. There is something really nice about the beach as things start to cool down and the waves come up.

Sunday, October 14th, 2018 – Today there were artists painting along the board east of the beach one pavilion. I took a different route heading east toward the Nottawasaga River egress.
Sunday, October 14th, 2018 – This is as far as we’re supposed to go to the east. In the summer I use my kayak to follow the shoreline east oh here into the river.
Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 – On Wednesday of this week the water was as high as I’ve seen it. The beach was impassible and even the grass and vegetation was impassible. A steady northwest wind created a mini storm surge that raised the water an estimated foot or two. Normally there is 50 feet or more of sand at this point before you get to the waterline.
Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 – Looking northwest into steady wind and high waves.
Thursday, October 18th, 2018 – Thursday there was less of a surge so more of the beach was exposed, but you can still see the waves coming a good distance up on shore.
Friday, October 19th, 2018 – Things were back to normal Friday. A beautiful day. Still some wind, but nothing like earlier in the week.
Friday, October 19th, 2018 – the high water washed this log up on shore. It was so heavy I couldn’t budge it. It was gone a few days later so someone with the park service must have used one of the tractors to remove it.
Saturday, October 20th, 2018 – Saturday was another beautiful day. The winds were high again. Looking east from 18th street. You couldn’t walk along the narrower parts of the beach again without getting your feet wet because the waves came all the way up to the grass and trees.
Saturday, October 20th, 2018 – Picture taken looking northeast west of 13th street and east of Shore Lane.
