Some days I walk down the beach and nothing is new. Other days are amazing, and there are many changes all at once. April 22nd was one of those days. The featured picture for this post is a trailer parked east of Beach Area One, where the piping plovers nest. Somehow, the color of the sand and sky perfectly matched the trailer.
Monday, April 21st, 2025 – Just another spring day walking down the beach. This picture was taken between beach areas 4 and 5.Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025 – The kitesurfers were back today. This time, along Beach area 1 – right at Beach Drive. You can see in the foreground that the main beach has already been graded. Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025 – Demolition of the old structures along BeachOnee is proceeding. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s done. Tuesday, April 22nd, 202—This is the time of year when fisherman reappear along the Nottawasaga River. This picture was taken looking south toward the River east of the main beach.Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 – Just another day at the beach. As evidenced by the tire marks, debris from the winter is being hauled away.Thursday, April 24th, 2025 – Debris raked up by tractors, ready to be trucked away near Beach area 5.Friday, April 25th, 2025 – Beach area 2 is almost ready for visitors.Saturday, April 26th, 2025 – This tree along the path at Beach area 5 has been leaning for years. The lean is getting steeper. I no longer walk under the tree. I now always circle around the tree to the left. Saturday, April 26th, 2025 – Looking northwest on a Fall-like Saturday morning.
