Sunday, February 9th, 2020 – ice out in the bay. It was cold overnight (-17) with gentle winds so the ice froze a good distance off shore. By afternoon, the wind shifted and the ice was breaking up again.
Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 – This picture taken from the fast east end of Wasaga Beach close to the outlet of the Nottawasaga River – approximately 1.5 km east of the main beach.
Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 – Looking across lonely provincial park parking lots to the east of the main beach.
Friday, February 14th – Looking out across the beach from near 16th street. A very cold night (-24C) means a substantial increase in shore ice.
Saturday, February 15th, 2020 – Parking at my usual spot near 18th street as I head down the beach and back on a perfect winter day.

January 2020 has been warm. Lots of days above freezing. This makes walking down the beach challenging as I need to deal with water, slush, and dodgy ice conditions.  I shifted me walks to early morning when the temperatures were still below freezing so I had better conditions.

January 26th, 2020 – Looking across the bay on an unseasonably warm Sunday morning walking through slush along the beach.
Monday, January 27th, 2020 – Looking east towards beach one from near 18th street.
Monday, January 27th, 2020 – Someone built awesome snowmen along the beach near 13the street. Very cool.
Friday, January 31st – more of the same this week I’m afraid. Little change in the ice conditions.
Saturday, February 1st, 2020 – lonely picnic tables along the beach 2 boardwalk
Saturday, February 1st, 2020 – look west from the boardwalk at beach 2
