We gradually started to get back to more seasonable weather this week. It was time to break out the winter clothes this week.

Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 – Tuesday was the first day it felt like winter. A high of 2C with strong northwest winds. There was literally no beach to walk on today.
Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 – I tried to enter the beach at 16th street and this is what the shore looked like.  Not only was the beach underwater, but the trails down to the beach were also submerged.
Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 – The winds had calmed today by Wednesday and we had an overnight snowfall. This picture taken exiting the beach from near 13th street on my way to Shore Lane.
Thursday, November 19th 2020 – This picture taken near 13th street looking southwest. The erosion along the shore is amazing.
Thursday, November 19th 2020 – A big chuck of someone’s deck swept on shore and is bumping up against the boardwalk near beach one. If you look closely, every nail has been popped. There were boards scattered up and down a few kilometers of the beach today. This is the largest piece I could find.
Thursday, November 19th 2020 – Looking west on my daily walk as I head back from beach one. We continue to lose trees along the shoreline near beach 2
Saturday, November 21st, 2020 – I walked down the beach with my Mom today on a cool Saturday morning. Not a person in sight. This picture taken looking west from the west end of beach drive at beach one.
Saturday, November 21st, 2020 – There is a home at the far east end of Shore Lane. I applaud the owners for always flying a Canada flag. The state of their flag is always an indicator of how strong the northwest winds have been coming off Georgian Bay. I suspect they are on their third flag this year – it takes a lot of wind to do this kind of damage!
