I don’t think this week is a very good commercial for Wasaga Beach. We’ve had an early start to winter. It’s interesting to see how the weather changes day to day. Overcast skies every day this week.
I changed the header picture on the site to the last picture in this set because I think it better captures the gloomy mood of November.
Sunday, November 11th, 2018. These are pictures of Black Forrest cottages at the end of 12th street just a few minutes west of the main beach. These places get great reviews from people who have stayed there. Family friendly, clean cottages.
Sunday, November 11th, 2018 – walking back home from the boardwalk near beach one.
Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 – Snowsqualls coming in. Taking at 18th street looking west.
Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 – Wednesday morning we woke up to more fresh snow. Our maples in the front yard are covered with snow.
Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 – Lots of snowmobiles running across the beach today. It was windy enough that the waves were washing away the snow so you could walk along the sand as long as you were careful not to get your feet wet.
Thursday, November 15th, 2018 – A forbidding sky looking west from near 13th street.
Friday, November 16th, 2018 – Looking across the bay towards Blue Mountain. Lots of fresh snow, but not enough to open the ski hills yet.
Friday, November 16th, 2018 – Not as much wave action today so there was snow right up to the beach. I ended up walking along the snowmobile trails to avoid the wet snow.
Saturday, November 17th, 2018 – Windy and cold today, but a lot better for walking down the beach. The waves have cleared the snow away and the sand is frozen solid and firm to walk on.
Saturday, November 17th, 2018 – Looking west. You can see where the waves must have been high overnight. Waves were washing all the way up to the grass.
