One thing about Wasaga Beach is that the weather changes every day. I find myself look forward to colder temperatures. With the snow coming and going, the beach is often full of slush.
Sunday, November 22nd, 2020 – taken looking east across the beach from near 13th street. You can see the the damage the erosion has done with tree roots exposed. I regularly see this Doberman on the beach – I’m sure he/she is fine, but I decided to cut away from the beach and walk to beach one through the provincial park.
Sunday, November 22nd, 2020 – looking west from near 13th street – most properties along the beach erect plywood barriers in the Fall to protect their yards from sand driven by high winds that would destroy their lawns.
Monday, November 23rd, 2020 – My favorite boardwalk is looking a little the worse for wear. The water is not high today, but waves are high enough some days this year to threaten the structure that undergirds the boardwalk.
Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 – Walking west with beach one in the distance. The beach continues to erode with record high waters on Georgian Bay.
Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 – Looking across the Bay. we’ve had a few warm days, but there is still snow on the ski hills @ Blue Mountain.
Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 – We had a dusting of snow overnight – usually the waves sweep away the snow, but the wind was calm today.
Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 – Walking west along the beach from 18th street,
Saturday, November 28th, 2020 – Spectacular weather on Saturday. Mom and I walked down the beach together. This picture taken looking down the beach 2 boardwalk heading to the main beach.
Saturday, November 28th, 2020 – the Town is doing work at the 5th street parking lot. I like to park here, but the lot has been closed. I’m curious what that are up to.
