It always makes me nervous to see people far out on the ice this time of year. The ice conditions can change very suddenly. The bay can appear frozen solid one day, and be wide open the next.
Sunday, March 13th, 2022 – Out at the near edge of the ice near 13th street looking south west towards the shore.Monday, March 14, 2022 – Looking from the beach 2 boardwalk across the bay towards Collingwood.Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Walking down a slushy, melting beach on my way to beach one.Thursday, March 17th, 2022 – The snow melting rapidly near 16th street. Friday, March 18th, 2022 – people hiking far from shore along the ice berms.Saturday, March 19th, 2021 – No snow. What a change from last year. Beach one in the distance. The water levels in Georgian Bay are down dramatically.
