After a green Christmas, we finally started to get some snow. The highlight of this week was a trip down to Toronto to help my son move from his downtown apartment to a downtown home in the heart of Toronto.
Sunday, January 7th, 2024 – Looking west along the Beach 2 boardwalk. It is strange to see no snow!Monday, January 8th, 2024 – On my way to beach one after a dusting of snow. Looking east.Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 – By Tuesday, we were in the midst of some serious snow-squalls. This is more like it for this time of year.Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 – The water is too warm to freeze – Waves fueled by northwest winds. Thursday, January 11th, 2024 – It’s unusual to see someone bicycling down the beacj in the winter, but it happened! (Fat tires make it easier to pedal through sand and snow)Friday, January 12th, 2024 – Crossing beach area 5 heading west.Saturday, January 13th 2024 – We left Wasaga @ 5:00 AM on Saturday to help my son move out of his apartment in the heart of downtown Toronto.Saturday, January 13, 2024 – My son Ben shows up at receiving. The logistics of this move were complicated! Saturday, Jan 13th, 2024 – We will miss this view from Ben’s apartment.Saturday, January 13th, 2024 – Moving into Ben’s new place at Rosemount Avenue parked on a steep hill with the emergency break on. Thank you to Jamie. If not for him, we would never have managed the 2 hour move out window!
