The new year began with a brief warm-up and periods of high winds, but by the end of the week, temperatures were back to seasonable levels.
Monday, December 30th, 2024—With high winds from the northwest, the waves quickly eroded the ice along the shore. At this time of year, the water temperature in Georgian Bay ranges between 0° and 2° C.Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 – The ice people were skating on last week is nothing but shards piled up along the shore.
