We had another significant storm late in the week that closed Highway 26 and made some of the roads around the beach impassable. I ran into a stuck car at Shore Lane and 39th Street during my daily walk. I tried to help push the vehicle out of the snow, but it turns out that Teslas are low to the ground and very heavy – especially when stuck in the snow! Thankfully, one of the town employees came by in a tractor and got permission to hook up a towing cable.
Monday, February 24th, 2025 – This is one of the few days I’ve been able to walk on the beach. The snowmobile trails were finally firm enough. Saturday, March 1st, 2025 – We had serious blowing snow on Saturday. The trail from the RecPlex to Shore Lane was like a winter wonderland.Saturday, March 1st, 2025 – Heading east down Shore Lane. I ran into a car hopelessly stuck in the snow a few blocks ahead. This part of the Shore Lane was plowed, but up ahead, the snow was considerably deeper. With the stuck car, the plow could not get by.Saturday, March 25th, 2025 – After 45 minutes of trying to free the car by hand, the town’s plow used a tow chain to pull the car into this cleared section of Shore Lane.
