The insane temperature swings continued this week. I find Feburary without snow a little depressing so it was great to a return to more seasonable wearther. We had a god 8 inches of snow towards the end of the week.
Sunday, February 25th, 2024 – I shouldn’t be complaining about the excellent conditions. This should be the coldest time of the year. In years past, the bay would have been entirely frozen, and snow wouild be too deep for walking along the beach.
Monday, February 26th, 2024 – This picture taken from the east of beach 5. Beach one is ~10km in the foregroud. I try and mix things up and walk different parts of the beach every week.
Tuesday, February 27th, 2024 – Looking across a windswept beach towards Collingwood and the Blue Mountain Ski hills across the Nottawasaga bay.
Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 – An evening walk near beach 6 with strong north west winds. The waves are causing serious damage to the shore ice.
Thursday, February 29th, 2024 – Walking east down Shore Lane near 45th street before the plows came by. We had heavy snow overnight.
Friday, March 1st, 2024 – Walking down the beach takes a lot more energy in deep snow. Looking east along Wasaga Beach from near Beach area 5.
Friday, March 1st, 2024 – Our south facing sun room is awesome this time of year. The interior temperature was 30C as we looked out on our snowy backyard.
Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 – Walking east from Beach six along a slushy beach.
