Even for such a warm winter, this week was one for the record books! The high of 16.5˚ C on February 9th shattered records, with similar records being set all across Ontario.
Monday, February 5th, 2024 – The nights are still cold enough that the shore ice freezes every night, but it is melting during the day.Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 – Today reached a high of 5˚C and the beach was wet with melting snow. It felt more like April than February.Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 – Excellent conditions for walking. Heading west towards the Recplex from just west of Beach area 4.Friday, February 9th, 2024 – On my way to Beach one over the noon hour on a spectacular day. The wind off the water made if feel cool, but was all the way up to 16˚ C.
