This is the week we officially lost out shore ice along Wasaga Beach. I suspect this is a record for the earliest this has happened.
Sunday, March 26th, 2023 – The last of the shore ice is hanging in looking west from near 5th street at Beach area 2.Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 – A beautiful day walking down to Beach one over the noon hour. Except for the fact that there are no leaves on the trees it could almost be a summer day. This picture taken looking east from near 12th street.Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 – High winds and snowsqualls causing debris to wash up on shore near 57th street.Thursday, March 30th, 2023 – The winds of the past few days have deposited ever more sand along the beach boardwalk.Friday, March 31st, 2023 – Poof! and suddenly we are back to winter conditions. I guess March is going out like a Lion after 30C temperatures just last week.Saturday, April 1st, 2023 – First parasailors of the season around Beach area 6. (not an April fools joke)
