Another beautiful week as summer winds to a close. The days are getting a little shorter and the beach is less crowded despite the excellent weather.
Sunday, August 21st, 2022 – Looking west along a freshly graded beach near 13th street at Wasaga Beach.Monday, August 22nd, 2022 – Taken over the noon hour on my way down to beach one along the western boardwalk. The poles for volleyball nets are visible along the waterfront.Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 – An evening walk just as the sun sets over the Blue Mountains. Taken from near Beach 6.Thursday, August 25th, 2022 – Looking west across the boardwalk on my way back from Beach one. Hardly anyone on the beach today.Friday, August 26th, 2022 – I came across this Swift kayak sitting unattended along the beach. I inherited one of these from my uncle (mine was the Bering Sea model) and I know that these are very high-quality kayaks. These are locally made at Swift Canoe and Kayak.Saturday, August 27 – There is a stream that exits the beach at 57th street. This part of the beach is almost never busy as it is far away from any public parking, but it was surprisingly busy today.
